The team of Joe Bunch, Brad Jackson, Garrett Braun and Scott Wiley won the annual Four-Man Scramble at Forest Hills Country Club with a two-round total of 118 — 26-under par.
The group had the same score as the team of John Paulus, Justin Johnson, Jeff Johnson and Jacob Snelgrove and won in a playoff based on scorecards.
Kirt Fraley, Randy Steele, Jeff Storm and Tyler Mulkey had the best net score, with a 107.8.
Jim Palmer, Brian Winter, Bob Seehawer and Bob Pyle had the top gross score in the B Flight with a 127, while Marc White, Bob Brandt, Bryan Palmer and Mike Powell had the top net score with a 112.8.
Cowpie Classic
Two teams shared the title at the recent Cowpie Classic in Powers.
The team of Virgil Stemmerman, Colby Stemmerman, Corey Stemmerman and Mindie Wilson and the host team of Jake Caughell, Nicky Stallard, Ed McCrorey and Gary Carroll both were 14-under for the tournament.
The event drew 17 teams.
Powers athletic director Jody Cyr extended a public thanks to all the sponsors for the tournament, which raised about $4,200 for the Powers athletic program.
Sponsors included Ron Vance, Hawk’s View Winery, Ed Anderson Logging, Jerry’s Rogue Jets, Ronny Davis, Jack’s Fountain, Pepsi, C+ Ranch, Coquille Valley Elks Lodge, Powers Market, Bandon Crossings, B-n-T Embroidery, Mark Rector, Powers Tavern, Safeway and Coos Country Club.
Junior Golf Benefit
The annual Junior Golf Benefit at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort will be held on Sunday, June 22, at 1 p.m. at the practice center at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
The event is a fundraiser for the resort’s junior golf program and is for the entire family.
The benefit is played on Shorty’s, the par-3 course at the practice center, and includes a closest to the pin competition, a “beat the pro” contest and raffle prizes.

Links for Learning
The United Valley Christian Academy will hold its fourth-annual Links for Learning golf scramble on Saturday, July 19, at Coquille Valley Elks Lodge. The event begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
The registration is $40 per person and includes lunch and a gift. A silent auction will be held throughout the event.
All proceeds go to UVCA to help fund the 2008-2009 school year. For more information, those interested can contact Janet Roby at 396-4529.
Trail Blazer Camp
The Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon will host a one-day Trail Blazer Basketball Camp on Tuesday, July 8.
Area students can join members of the Portland NBA organization for the event, which will be held at the club. At least 50 students must sign up and the cost is $35.

SeaBreeze camps start
The first SeaBreeze summer camps of the season start Monday with volleyball, junior tennis and gymnastics camps.
The volleyball camp, led by North Bend volleyball coach Les Willett and some of his players, runs from 9 to 11 a.m. for students in grades 3 through 6 and noon to 3 p.m. for students in grades 7 through 9. The camp runs Monday through Friday, and the cost is $50 with a current club membership. Participants should enter through the tennis center parking lot.
The junior tennis camp is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the Sweet Memorial Tennis Center. Boys and girls 14 and under are eligible to participate.
The gymnastics camp is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday in the gymnastics portion of the club. All boys and girls in grades 1 through 8 may participate. The cost is $60 with a current club membership.
