A North Bend man was hurt Wednesday when his bicycle and a car collided at a Coos Bay intersection.
At 5:20 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a report that a bicyclist had been struck by a 2007 Toyota near the corner of North Bayshore Drive and Koosbay Boulevard, according to a Coos Bay Police press release.
An ambulance crew transported the bicyclist, David Johnson, 54, of North Bend, to Bay Area Hospital with undisclosed injuries. He was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said this morning.
Police don’t know the cause of the crash and police did not cite the driver, Heath Elliott, 34, of North Bend. He was not injured in the accident, the press release said.
