North Bend football kickoff planned
By Staff Reports
Monday, June 16, 2008 | No comments posted.
The North Bend High School football team will hold its kickoff evening on Thursday, June 19, at the high school.
New head coach Rick Taylor will meet his players from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
The event will be the team’s first summer workout, and will be held in a practice format, introducing the players to the North Bend program. The evening will include individual and group work on both offense and defense.
The kickoff is open to next fall’s freshmen through seniors, and will end with an ice cream feed.
Taylor said it’s important for those players planning to attend the Eastern Oregon University camp in July to get started on the summer program.
The team will hold weightlifting sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for the rest of the summer.
More information can be found on the team’s Web page at www.northbendfootball.com or by calling Taylor at (541) 679-9878 or (541) 643-0696.
