North Bend’s baseball team was rewarded for its trip to the Class 4A semifinals with several players on the all-state team.

Pitcher Bryce Weidman and catcher Ethan Ottemiller were named to the first team after the Bulldogs won 22 straight games and advanced through two rounds of the playoffs.

Newport, which edged the Bulldogs by a single run in their semifinal matchup and went on to win the state title, had both the player of the year — Eddie Crowe — and coach of the year — Ken Riley.

North Bend outfielder Alex Clark was named to the second team, while pitcher Kale Forrester and shortstop Andrew Slack were on the third team.

Siuslaw outfielder Tyler Mais was named to the first team, while Brookings-Harbor pitcher Tyler Parke was a second-team selection along with Siuslaw catcher Zach Laxague.
