PBS Engineering & Environmental recently moved to 271 North Baxter St., across from the Coos County Courthouse, in Coquille. The office moved from Bandon.

Services at PBS include geotechnical engineering with geotechnical engineers, geologists and engineering geologists, staff engineers and staff geologists, construction engineers and field staff. The office also offers natural resource and permitting services, including wetland delineations and functional assessments, fish studies, wildlife studies, watershed restoration, fish passage, regulatory permitting and biological assessments. The office serves clients in Southwest Oregon, Northern California and along the coast.

The office is managed by Paul Slater, senior environmental specialist, who has a background in general environmental permitting and compliance. Slater has 11 years experience in Southwest Oregon, and has been involved in every phase of stream restoration. According to a press release, he is well versed in project and contract development, management and administration and has experience with best management practices for erosion prevention and sediment control, road repair and construction. Slater earned his bachelor’s degree in fisheries science from Oregon State University.
