Drug bust nets two neighbors

Friday, June 06, 2008 |
LA PINE (AP) — Drug agents nabbed 70 marijuana plants out of two neighboring homes as Central Oregon’s SWAT team moved into a La Pine neighborhood.
Drug agents had been watching the two houses for about two months and finally made their move Thursday. They netted lots of pot, hidden in secret rooms. Both men arrested are already out of jail.
Two brothers, one in each house, 24-year-old Jay Ramey and 27-year-old Jeremiah, were caught off guard, and arrested.
Police say along with the plants, 26 assault rifles and guns were also seized.
The brothers are due to face a judge June 20.
