Four-car crash

Ambulance workers took two Coos Bay residents to the hospital following a four-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Coos Bay that also disrupted traffic for nearly an hour.
According to a Coos Bay Police press release, at about 8:15 a.m., a 1995 Chevy station wagon, 2006 Nissan sedan, 1990 Jeep and a 1994 Oldsmobile crashed in the 1100 block of Newmark Avenue.
The driver of the Oldsmobile, Sharon Lyons, 56; and a passenger in the vehicle, Jon Lyons, 62, went to Bay Area Hospital. A hospital spokeswoman said they were treated and released.
The drivers of the Chevy, Emma Chitwood, 19, of Cloverdale; the Nissan, Thelma Schlichting, 63, of Coos Bay; and the Jeep, Henry Kliebenstein, 51, of Coos Bay, were not listed as having been treated in the hospital’s records.
No citations were issued.
