Coos County deputies arrested a Bandon man Wednesday at a house on Cape Arago Highway following an assault.
According to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office press log, at about 11:44 p.m., deputies responded to a call reporting a woman bleeding at 91047 Cape Arago Highway.
Deputies arrested Erick Gulseth, 46, on charges of fourth-degree assault and harassment.
Gulseth was taken to Coos County jail, where he was released on his own recognizance.
The assault victim, Tessa Smith, 18, of Coos Bay, declined medical attention, said Sgt. Pat Downing.
Police arrested a Coos Bay man Wednesday in Coos Bay after he crashed into several properties in Englewood.
According to a Coos Bay Police press release, at about 7:30 p.m., officers received a 911 call reporting a brown pickup truck crashed into a fence at Englewood Market, 1434 Southwest Blvd. Another call came in later reporting a similar vehicle crashed into a fence at the Missionary Baptist Church, 1408 Southwest Blvd.
Officers located the vehicle and arrested the driver, Raymond Huyck, 41, on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and two counts of hit-and-run with property damage. He was taken to Coos County jail, then released.
Coquille Police arrested a Bandon man Wednesday on burglary-related charges.
According to the Coos Bay Police log, at about 11:50 p.m., Coquille officers responded to a report of a man breaking into a house at 865 E. Fifth St. They arrested Lee Wallace, 37, on charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief. He was taken to Coos County jail, where he is being held on $100,000 bail.
