Bandon group is presenting stage comedy

Monday, June 02, 2008 |
Bandon Playhouse will present the screwball romantic comedy “You Can’t Get There from Here” the first two weekends this month at the Sprague Community Theater in Bandon.
The show will open on Friday and plays June 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday shows start at 2 p.m.
Kathie Lecce of Bandon directs this Frank Capra-esque comedy full of small-town witticisms aimed at the heart of any audience, according to a press release.
The play centers on the Mavis Garner Bed and Breakfast, which gets most of its customers when their cars are disabled after they hit the city-authorized pothole on Main Street. A reporter tries to dig up what’s going on in this small town.
The show is produced by Pam Hansen of Bandon.
Tickets are available at Bandon Mercantile, Bandon True Value Hardware, Winter River Books or the Sprague Theater Box Office, 347-7426. For more information, those interested can call 347-8076.
