The Daughters of the Nile will meet at Coney Station, 295 S. Broadway, Coos Bay. Daughters of the Nile is a philanthropic women’s organization made up of relatives of Shriners. The local club sews, and sends and children’s magazine subscriptions to the Portland and Honolulu Shrine hospitals. For a meeting time, those interested can call 888-0805.

TOPS OR No. 300 will meet at 9 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 2420 Sherman Ave., in North Bend. Weigh-in will begin at 8 and the meeting starts at 9:30. For more information, those interested can call Bobbie Hibbert at 756-4481.

Blood pressure tests will be offered from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the North Bend Senior Center, 1470 Airport Lane. For more information, those interested can call 756-7622.

Coos County Public Health is sponsoring a food handler class at 1 p.m. at Sitkum Hall, Room 6, at Southwestern Oregon Community College, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. Those taking the test should prepare by reading “Food Safety: Your Self-training Manual,” available online at http://www.oregon.gov/DHS/ph/foodsafety/ or at local libraries. Everyone At the Table will provide low-income families with dinners from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Bandon First Presbyterian Church, 592 Edison Ave. Donations for E.A.T. are appreciated for the nonprofit, equal opportunity provider. TOPS No. 114, North Bend, will meet at 6 p.m. at the Church of Christ, just off Broadway on Alder Ridge Road. TOPS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to losing weight sensibly. For more information, those interested can call 267-2965 or 266-0547.

Tuesday Bingo at Coos Bay Eagles No. 538  will begin at 6:30 p.m. The lodge is located at 568 S. Second St., Coos Bay. For more information, those interested can call 267-6613.

Sea Breeze Chorus will hold rehearsals at 6:30 p.m at the First United Methodist Church, 123 Ocean Blvd., in Coos Bay. Women of all ages who enjoy singing are invited to attend the rehearsals to learn about the barbershop style of four-part harmony. For more information, those interested can call Elaine at 759-2339.

A diabetes education review class will meet on from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Bay Area Hospital, 1775 Thompson Road, Coos Bay. Participants should check with the front desk on the first floor of the hospital for exact locations. Point Man Ministries, an outreach group for local veterans, active-duty personnel and families since 1988, will meet at 7 p.m.  at Sobers, 181 Anderson Ave., in Coos Bay. For more information, those interested can call Mike Harris at 267-4755 or e-mail mekong152@charter.net.

The Coquille Valley Elks will meet at 7 p.m. at the lodge, 54942 Maple Heights Road, in Coquille. Dinner is served from 5 to 7 p.m.
