A 6-month-old boy involved in an assault on Thursday was listed in fair condition this morning, a spokeswoman at Oregon Health & Science University, said.

The boy, Tryson Bradford of North Bend, is the son of Sean Robertson, 25, who was arrested Thursday in connection with the assault.

According to a Coos County Sheriff’s Office press release, at approximately 10:56 p.m., deputies responded to Bay Area Hospital after Robertson, 25, called 911. He told dispatchers his son had quit breathing and he was taking him to the hospital.

Deputies arrested Robertson at the hospital on a charge of first-degree assault. Police said an emergency room examination indicated Tryson was suffering from shaken baby syndrome. The child was airlifted to Oregon Health & Science University. Robertson was taken to Coos County jail, where he remained on $500,000 bail today.
