The following are theft and criminal mischief reports from area police department logs.
Woman injured in Harbor assault
Police arrested a 27-year-old man Wednesday in Harbor in connection with an assault that sent a woman to the hospital. According to a Curry County Sheriff’s Office press release, at about 3:45 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance near the south end of the Chetco River bridge. Upon arrival, they found Tammy Montgomery, 43, who had suffered severe head injuries. She was taken to Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City, Calif., and later flown to Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford. A hospital spokeswoman said Montgomery was in fair condition this morning.
Gang suspect connection unclear
Local police don’t know why suspected gang member and homicide suspect Inocente Secundino Jr. fled to Coos Bay.
Laptop stolen at Southwestern
Police arrested a Reedsport man Wednesday in Coos Bay on a theft charge. According to the Coos Bay Police log, at about 11:42 a.m. Tuesday, a laptop computer was reported stolen from a student’s room at Southwestern Oregon Community College, 1988 Newmark Ave.
Police arrest 22-year-old in Coquille rape case
Police arrested a 22-year-old man Wednesday in Coquille on rape-related charges.
