Kindergarten registration open at North Bay

Thursday, May 15, 2008 |
North Bay Elementary School is holding a kindergarten registration event at 6:30 tonight.
Kindergarten Roundup provides an opportunity for parents to pre-register and learn about the curriculum, while meeting the teachers and the principal.
To enroll for the 2008-09 school year, children must be 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1. Parents should bring their child’s proof of age and immunization record.
The event will be held in the library at North Bay Elementary, 93670 Viking Lane. This is for families who live north of the McCullough Bridge.
The first day of school in North Bend schools will be Wednesday, Sept. 3. Parents also can pre-register by contacting either Hillcrest Elementary or North Bay Elementary.
Oregon law requires the following immunizations be up to date or complete prior to starting school:
* DPT — five doses required (unless fourth dose is given at age four or later).
* Polio — four doses required (unless third dose is given at age four or later).
* Measles — two doses.
* Rubella — one dose.
* Mumps — one dose.
* Hepatitis B series — three doses.
* Varicella — one dose or child has had the chicken pox.
