Drop-off sites open for ballots

Coos County elections staff are busy gathering ballots. The deadline to have mail-in ballots returned is 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 20.

On election day, all dropsites will be open until 8 p.m. Dropsites are located at:

* Bandon City Hall, 555 Highway 101,

* Coos Bay City Library, 525 Anderson Ave.,

* Coquille Courthouse, 250 N. Baxter St.,

* Lakeside City Hall, 915 North Lake Road,

* Myrtle Point City Library, 435 Fifth St.,

* North Bend City Library, 1800 Sherman Ave.,

* North Bend Police Department, 835 California St., and

* Powers City Hall, Third and Fir streets.

Why were there no listings for Douglas county drop-offs? The World is delivered to a lot of people here in western Douglas county....don't forget we are here!

I can't believe we call ours a ballot. One chice to vote for. Well none of them got my vote. Give us a choice!!!!!!! I'm embarrassed.
