The Florence Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 101st Rhododendron Festival May 16-18.

Bowl Down Hunger, a fundrasier for the South Coast Food Share, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at North Bend Lanes, 1225 Virginia Ave. Local businesses can sponsor a bowling team of three to six employees. Bowling teams are required, with one lane assigned for each team.

A Little Theatre on the Bay benefit show, for the building improvement fund, will be held 8 p.m. at LTOB, 2100 Sherman Ave., North Bend. For more information including tickets, those interested can call LTOB at 756-4336.

Myrtle Crest School will hold its annual carnival from 6 to 8:30 p.m.. The school is located at 717 Fourth St., Myrtle Point.

The North Bend Church of Christ will host a “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage,” a video seminar Friday and Saturday. For more information and to register, those interested can call the church at 404-7144 or visit http://www.laughyourway.com.

The Bay Area Seniors’ Computer Club will meet from 10 to 11 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1290 Thompson Road.

The Coos Stamp Club will meet at 2 p.m.at the Cedar Room at the Coos Bay Public Library, 525 W. Anderson Ave. For more information, those interested can call John Day, 267-3338.

The South Coast Dance Association will feature a one-hour lesson in East Coast Swing at 7 p.m., followed by open dancing until 9:30, at Epiphany’s Ballroom, 1989 Sherman, Ave., North Bend. The cost is $3 for members and $6 for nonmembers.
