Friends hope to aid McRae family

Friends of a North Bend woman who died recently in Curry County are seeking donations to help support her family.
Steve Skinner, a friend of the McRae family, said Kathi McRae was the primary bread-winner and her death has put the North Bend family in a tough spot.
Her husband, John McRae, has Huntington’s disease, and he and their two teenage sons need assistance during this difficult time. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Web site, Huntington’s disease causes progressive degeneration of the brain, leading to uncontrollable movements, loss of brain function and emotional disturbances. It is untreatable.
Those interested in donating to the McRaes can do so at the U.S. Bank in North Bend, and should ask for the account for the family of Kathi McRae.
U.S. Bank is located at 1285 Virginia Ave.
