A WorkNet forum will be held 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute, at Southwestern Community College, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. WorkNet is a live forum where employers announce job openings and job seekers highlight their skills and abilities.
The North Bend Garden Club will meet at noon at the North Bend Housing Authority, 1700 Monroe Ave., North Bend. The program will be “Noxious and Other Weeds of Coos County,” by Helen Franklin from the Coos County Weed Control Board.
North Bend Library Director Gary Sharp will present the “How to Research Grants” workshop from 2 to 3 p.m. in the large meeting room at the North Bend Public Library, 1800 Sherman Ave., North Bend. The workshop will introduce first-time grant writers to the steps involved in researching potential funders, mainly through Oregon foundations. There is no admission charge, and pre-registration is not required.
Mah Jongg, a tile game, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays, at the North Bend Public Library, 1800 Sherman Ave. For more information, those interested can call 269-2884.
Bingo is hosted by Coos Chapter Eastern Star and North Bend Masonic Lodge at 6:45 p.m. every Wednesday at the Masonic Center, 2002 Union Ave., North Bend. All adults over 21 are welcome.
