The following events are scheduled for Tuesday around the area.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness will hold a support group meeting at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month at the Nancy Devereux Center, 1200 Newmark Ave., in Coos Bay. For more information, those interested can call 269-1343.
The Concerned Citizens of Empire will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at Java Jones Coffee Shop, 757 Newmark Ave., Empire. For more information, those interested can call 888-6805.
The Coquille Valley Senior’s Computer Club will meet at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Coquille Senior Center, 265 E. First St. Membership is open to all who are at least 50 years old. Visitors are welcome. For more information, those interested can visit the meetings or call Bob Kimball at 396-4971.
The Acktion Club will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at Bay Area Christian Fellowship, 175 S. Third St., Coos Bay. It is a community service organization, comprising developmentally disabled adults, sponsored by the Bay Area Kiwanis Club. Everyone At the Table will provide low-income families with dinners from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at Bandon First Presbyterian Church, 592 Edison Ave. For more information, those interested can call Allison Hundley at 347-3500.
Blood pressure tests will be offered from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the North Bend Senior Center, 1470 Airport Lane.
TOPS OR No. 300 will meet at 9 a.m. every Tuesday at the First Christian Church, 2420 Sherman Ave., in North Bend. Weigh-in will begin at 8 and the meeting starts at 9:30. TOPS is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals control weight through education, awareness and support. For more information, those interested can call Bobbie Hibbert at 756-4481.
TOPS No. 114, North Bend, will meet at 6 p.m. each Tuesday at the Church of Christ, just off Broadway on Alder Ridge Road. TOPS is a nonprofit group dedicated to losing weight sensibly. For more information, those interested can call 267-2965 or 266-0547.

Point Man Ministries, an outreach group for local veterans, active-duty personnel and families since 1988, will meet at 7 p.m. each Tuesday at Sobers, 181 Anderson Ave., in Coos Bay. For more information, those interested can call Mike Harris at 267-4755 or e-mail mekong152@charter.net.
THE NORTH BEND SENIOR CENTER’S luncheon program is available to everyone, not just seniors. Buffet-style meals are available from 11:30 a.m. until everyone is served, Monday through Friday. Meals cost $5 and monthly menus are available, at 1470 Airport Lane. For more information, those interested can call 756-7622.
