‘Play It Again, Patti’

Little Theatre on the Bay honors longtime contributor Patti West with “Play it Again, Patti,” this weekend, at 8 tonight and at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The show features condensed versions of three musicals directed by West at LTOB in the 1980s: “Oklahoma,” “South Pacific” and “Little Shop of Horrors,” along with selected numbers from other West shows. Tickets cost $12.

‘Midsummer’

Rising Tide Live! presents “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at 7 p.m. tonight and at 2 p.m. Sunday, with additional performances next weekend, at the Pacific Auditorium at the Reedsport Junior/Senior High School, 2260 Longwood Drive.

Tickets cost $5, except opening night, when they are free with an item to donate to local food banks, and Mother’s Day, when they are free for mothers.

‘Death Lite’

The Dolphin Players will explore humor and bereavement in a triple bill of one-act plays — “Death Lite: Three One-Act Comedies about Death” — at 7 tonight and 3 p.m. Sunday, with additional performances next weekend, at the Hales Center for the Performing Arts at Southwestern Oregon Community College, 1988 Newmark Ave.

Tickets cost $8, $6 for seniors and free for students.

‘Power Short Shorts’

The latest FoxWell Comedy, “Power Short Shorts,” will play at 7:30 tonight at Gold Beach Books. “Power Short Shorts” is a collection of very short comic pieces exploring the precarious balance of power in human relationships — not just between men and women in love, but also between friends and enemies, authority figures and those “beneath” them, a press release said. Tickets are $15.

‘The Boyfriend’

Myrtle Point High School Drama will present its spring musical, “The Boyfriend,” at 7:30 tonight and at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the school, 717 Fourth St. Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors and $10 for families.

‘Barefoot in the Park’

Marshfield High School’s Madrala Players will present the play “Barefoot in the Park” at 7 tonight and 2 p.m. Sunday, with additional performances next weekend, in the Marshfield Drama Lab, at 10th and Ingersoll in Coos Bay. Tickets cost $10 and $7 for seniors and children under 12.

Music

Furtado at Pistol River

The Pistol River Concert Association will host Tony Furtado at 8 tonight at the Pistol River Friendship Hall. Furtado emerged as a bluegrass banjo prodigy, winning a national championship, but then moved to steel guitar and electric slide, according to a press release. Tickets cost $15.

Mother’s Day concert

A free Mother’s Day piano concert will be held at 5 tonight at the Coos Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2175 Newmark Ave. Local artist Jered Kostenko will share a selection of songs dedicated to mothers.

Dancing

Square dance

Sets in Order Square & Round Dance Club will hold a dance at 7:30 tonight at the Coquille Community Building, 115 N. Birch St. Coleeta Quigley and Denise Harris will lead.
