All dressed up in their chef hats, Kali Davis, Ashley Cochran, Staci Thurmon and Rhyan Londo sample Mexican wedding cakes in the baking and pastry arts classroom at the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute, on the Southwestern Oregon Community College campus last week.

The Bunker Hill Elementary School students and spent time at the chef school. Half of the Coos Bay kids baked chocolate chip cookies and the others had the chance to cut up and prepare a chicken strip lunch.
