An attractive package of play plus party debuted Sunday at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

It’s called 19.35, and the $20 ticket buys a seat at one of five plays, followed by an invitation to party after the show at Ashland’s Standing Stone Brewing Company.

Festival spokesman Eddie Wallace reports that tickets for the 19.35 “Midsummer Night’s Dream” play and party on April 20 were sold out.

“The actors who went had fun,” Wallace said. “They were mingling and dancing. Hopefully we’ll be able to build on this.”

The 19.35 concept is a timely addition to the venerable festival, which was founded in 1935. It is an evening designed specifically for the 19- through 35-year-old playgoer. Although attendance at OSF during last year’s eight-month season topped 400,000, the demographics visibly favored middle to senior-aged theater fans, despite 15 percent of the seats going to school groups.

That should change for performances earmarked for the 19.35 promotion.

The after-party features music, food and a cash bar. Members of the OSF company and acting ensemble meet and mingle with the playgoers, carrying post-show energy and excitement into the evening.

Standing Stone Brewing Company is located at 101 Oak St., Ashland, just one block from the OSF theaters.

The following dates offer the 19.35 play and party package.

• May 28, 8 p.m. — Welcome Home, Jenny Sutter

• June 5, 8:30 p.m. — The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler

• July 1, 8:30 p.m. — Othello

• Sept. 11, 8 p.m. — The Clay Cart
