Bay Area resident Randy Baker recently took the individual title in the 13th-annual Oregon Civil War pool tournament at Oregon City.

The event features billiards players from the northern part of the state meeting those from the south.

Five players from Coos Bay and Rogue River, considered the “deep south,” participated, with four of those finishing in the top 24 overall.

Baker won a trophy and $500 prize. He beat 88 other players to win the event.

The South won the overall match 57-47
