The following represents recent action on cases in Coos County Circuit Court:

Convicted

* Richard A. Young, 37, of Bullhead City, Ariz., was convicted on March 31, 2008, of felony coercion and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 36 months  probation and ordered to pay $1,107 in fines.

* Matthew W. Danforth, 27, of Coos Bay was convicted on April 15, 2008, on charges of felony possession of methamphetamines and misdemeanor driving while under the influence of intoxicants and was sentenced to two days in jail and 18 month probation and was ordered to pay $1776 in fines.

Dismissed

* Matthew W. Danforth: On Nov. 16, 2007, the court dismissed charges of misdemeanor reckless driving.
