Today

Vintage Haulers, a club for vehicle enthusiasts, meets the third Saturday of each month at various members home. For details and a meeting time, those interested can call Joe Bradley at 260-1940.

Coos Bay/North Bend Relay for Life will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in North Bend. The sale will be at 2480 17th St., near the corner of Oak and 16th streets.

An annual rummage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Pioneer United Methodist Church, at the corner of Second Street and Baxter Avenue in Coquille. There will be a $1-a-bag sale today.

A Ken-Ju-Bo-Ai Martial Arts Tournament will begin at 9 a.m. at Sunset Middle School, 245 S. Camman St., Coos Bay. Lunch will be provided from noon to 1 p.m.

The Artist Loft Gallery will hold an anniversary celebration from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Members are celebrating the gallery’s first year in its new downstairs location in Pony Village Mall, at the east entrance hallway, 1611 Virginia Ave., North Bend.

A class on body awareness will be offered from 11 a.m. to noon at the First Presbyterian Church, 438 Elrod Ave., in Coos Bay. Easy stretching, yoga postures, qi gung and tai chi will be incorporated into a smooth, gentle program focusing on balance, breathing and posture.

The American Rhododendron Society will present its annual judged Rhododendron Truss Show from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pony Village Mall in North Bend

No Lazy Kates will spin wool at 1 p.m. at the Wool Company, 990 Highway 101, Bandon. Visitors are welcome. For more information, those interested can call 347-3115.

A Suzuki method violin book graduation in the Bay Area will be at 1 p.m. Sunset Hall on the Southwestern Oregon Community College campus, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay.  Nine-year-old Shannon Stein, a North Bay Elementary School third-grader who also studies violin, will be the featured soloist.  

The Coos County Beekeepers Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the OSU Ohlsen Baxter Building, 631 Alder St., in Myrtle Point. Length of meetings varies with the group’s discussion of business and events. For more information, those interested can call 396-4016 or 290-8847.

The First Christian Church of Myrtle Point will hold a dedication service at 10:45 a.m. at its new building, 511 Sixth St. An open house will follow from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

An Inoka support group will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 795 Franklin Ave., in Bandon. There is an initial charge of $10 for books and materials. Pinochle players will gather at 1 p.m. at the Bay Area Senior Center, on the corner of Fourth Street and Ingersoll Avenue.

Bridge lessons will be offered from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 400 Highland Ave., in Coos Bay.
