The following meetings and activities are scheduled Wednesday.
TOPS No. 1135 will hold a weight-loss support meeting from 9:45 to 11 a.m. at Madison Street Community Church, 417 Madison St. in Coos Bay. For more information, those interested can call Bonnie at 266-9525.
A Diabetes Day information event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Health Resource Center at North Bend Medical Center, 1900 Woodland Drive, Coos Bay. For more information, those interested can call Kelley Rowe at 267-5151, ext. 1-401.
The Coos Bay Kiwanis Club will meet at noon at the Red Lion Hotel, 1313 N. Bayshore Drive, in Coos Bay, and features a new program every week. For more information, those interested can call Howard Forte at 888-5498 or 267-3121.

Bridge players will gather at 12:30 p.m. at the North Bend Senior Center, 1470 Airport Lane. For more information, those interested can call 756-7622.
An Alzheimer’s Association education meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at the North Bend Library, 1800 Sherman Ave. The topic will be “Finding Your Way Through The Health Care Maze,” with guest speaker Judy Fakowski, director of Bay Area Hospital Home Health. Free counseling for combat veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m., and a specialized group for World War II and Korean Conflict veterans will be held at 2 p.m. For more information, those interested can call the Eugene Vet Center’s Coos County contracted counselor, Susan Aviotti, LPC, at 756-7748.
A post traumatic stress disorder support group will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Southwestern Oregon Veterans Outreach office, suite 208 in the Pony Village Mall, 1611 Virginia Ave., North Bend. The meeting will end at 8 p.m. The group will be facilitated by Mark Winders, a Vietnam War U.S. Marine Corps veteran. It is a peer-to-peer group. One-on-one meetings also are available. Coos Chapter Eastern Star and North Bend Masonic Lodge will host bingo at 6:45 p.m. at the Masonic Center, 2002 Union Ave., North Bend. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Concessions will be available. There will be cash prizes including $300 for a Blackout game. All adults are welcome. For more information, those interested can call 756-4426 and leave a message.
An AL-ANON support meeting will be held at 7 p.m at First United Methodist Church of Coos Bay, 123 Ocean Blvd.
Coos Bay Elks Lodge No. 1160 will meet at 7 p.m. at the lodge, 265 Central Ave. Dinner is available for members only from 5 to 6 p.m. on meeting nights. For more information, those interested can call 266-7320.
The Coos Bay Eagles No. 538, Aerie and Auxiliary, will meet at 7 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge, 568 S. Second St., Coos Bay. For more information, those interested can call 267-6613.
Coos Bay Elks No. 1160 will meet at 7 p.m. at the lodge, located at 265 Central Ave., in Coos Bay. The Elks Lounge opens at 4 p.m.. A light meal is available beginning at 6, when the board of trustees will meet.
