Upcoming Road Races on the South Coast

Salmon Creek Run — Today, starting at 10 a.m. at the old Powers Hotel, located at the corner of Second Avenue and Hemlock Street in Powers. Events include a 10-kilometer run and a 3-mile run/walk along Salmon Creek. The entry fee is $4.
Roseburg to Coos Bay Relay — Saturday, April 19, with a staggered start at Roseburg. Five-person relay team will run from Roseburg to Coos Bay on the Coos Bay Wagon Road. The early entry fee is $175 per team ($35 per individual) and the entry deadline is April 14. A 23-mile LaVerne Park to Coos Bay walk relay also wil be held in conjunction with the event. The event is a fundraiser for Camp Millennium, a camp for children living with cancer. For more information, those interested can call Kristy Blair at 396-5910 or Pete Dawson at 267-6329.
Splint and Sprint — Saturday, May 10, starting at 10 a.m. at Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport. The 5-kilometer race supports the Lower Umpqua Hospital Foundation and is open to runners and walkers. The entry fee is $13 with a T-shirt and $5 without. A noncompetitive run/walk will be held at the same time. For more information, those interested can call Delaine Humphreys at (541) 271-9700.

Upcoming Road Races on the South Coast
For more information on upcoming road races and for photos from past events, those interested can log on to the South Coast Running Club’s Web page at http://www.southcoastrunningclub.com.
Salmon Creek Run — Today, starting at 10 a.m. at the old Powers Hotel, located at the corner of Second Avenue and Hemlock Street in Powers. Events include a 10-kilometer run and a 3-mile run/walk along Salmon Creek. The entry fee is $4.
Roseburg to Coos Bay Relay — Saturday, April 19, with a staggered start at Roseburg. Five-person relay team will run from Roseburg to Coos Bay on the Coos Bay Wagon Road. The early entry fee is $175 per team ($35 per individual) and the entry deadline is April 14. A 23-mile LaVerne Park to Coos Bay walk relay also wil be held in conjunction with the event. The event is a fundraiser for Camp Millennium, a camp for children living with cancer. For more information, those interested can call Kristy Blair at 396-5910 or Pete Dawson at 267-6329.
Splint and Sprint — Saturday, May 10, starting at 10 a.m. at Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport. The 5-kilometer race supports the Lower Umpqua Hospital Foundation and is open to runners and walkers. The entry fee is $13 with a T-shirt and $5 without. A noncompetitive run/walk will be held at the same time. For more information, those interested can call Delaine Humphreys at (541) 271-9700.
