Bay Area Sunrise Rotary gala

The Bay Area Sunrise Rotary will host its second-annual Black & White Benefit Gala, a dinner, dance and auction to benefit Rotary Community Projects, from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, at the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute, on the Southwestern Oregon Community College Campus, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay.

Tickets cost $40 and are limited.

CB-NB Rotary annual dinner

A “Roarin’ Rotary Roundup” will be held by the Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary on May 10.

That’s the theme of the club’s annual dinner to be held at 6 p.m. at the North Bend Community Building, 2222 Broadway Ave.

The event will feature music by Phil and the Holsters and live and silent auctions.

Tickets are $40 and can be obtained at Books by the Bay, 1875 Sherman Ave., in North Bend.

Bandon Rotary event

Bandon by-the-Sea Rotary will present its 14th-annual Wine and Cheese Extravaganza from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at Best Western Inn at Face Rock.

The public is invited to this popular event featuring wine, cheeses, hors d’oeuvres and spirited bidding and entertainment.

In the live auction, bidders have an opportunity to drive home a like-new 1989 Mercedes 560 SL.The car has 85,000 miles and features a convertible hardtop, black leather upholstery and all maintenance records and manuals.

Proceeds from the Wine and Cheese Extravaganza will benefit a number of projects in Bandon and around the world.

Tickets to the Wine and Cheese Extravaganza cost $25 and are available at Tiffany’s Drug, Winter River Books, Chetco Federal Credit Union and from Bandon by-the-Sea Rotarians. For more information, those interested can call Nora Thomason at 347-9070.
