The Lower Umpqua Gem and Lapidary Society will meet at 2 p.m. at the Winchester Bay Community Center, 635 Broadway. The meeting will feature a lecture on diamonds. The Acktion Club will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Bay Area Christian Fellowship, 175 S. Third St., Coos Bay. It is a community service organization, comprising developmentally disabled adults, sponsored by the Bay Area Kiwanis Club. Sea Breeze Chorus will hold rehearsals at 6:30 p.m at the First United Methodist Church, 123 Ocean Blvd., in Coos Bay.
