Winewalk to benefit school, Star of Hope

Winewalk will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 4, in downtown Coos Bay.
The event is coordinated by The World. Wine glasses will be on sale for $10, with proceeds to benefit Star of Hope and Lighthouse School.
Wine Walk will start at Express Blinds & Beyond LLC, at 147 S. Broadway, next to The Oregon Wine Cellars. Participants will purchase a wine glass and move on to a self-guided tour.
Participating businesses include Blue Heron Bistro, Coastal Grind, Coos Art Museum, Dawson’s Stein Room, Dunes Coastal Living, The Egyptian Theatre Preservation Association, Katrina Kathleen’s Home Décor and Gifts, Oregon Wine Cellars, Ric’s Posto Bella, Rife’s Home Furnishings, Sincerely Your’s Antiques Mall, Siren Song, Style All Over Again and Waxer’s Surf & Skate.
Also Friday, the movie “E.T.” will begin at 7 p.m. at The Egyptian Theatre. Admission for the movie is $5. Proceeds benefit Blossom Gulch School.
First Friday Wine Walk events will begin monthly for the spring and summer season, the next two will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Fridays, May 2, and June 6. Each event will benefit different local non-profit service and arts organizations.
Previous Wine Walk events raised $3,207 in community contributions benefiting The Coos Art Museum, The Egyptian Theater Preservation Association, The Boys and Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon, Music on The Bay, Habitat for Humanity, South Coast Food Share, the Southcoast Clambake Jazz Festival and the Women’s Safety & Resource Center.
