SALEM (AP) — The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded in Oregon dropped again last week, by 3 cents, and stands at $3.40. Diesel was down a penny, at $3.97 a gallon.

In Salem, AAA of Oregon says, regular unleaded averages $3.35 a gallon, in Portland $3.38, in Ashland $3.48 and in Eugene-Springfield $3.46.

The national average fell slightly over the past week, dropping 2 cents to $3.28 a gallon. That’s 12 cents higher than a month ago — and 63 cents higher than a year ago.

The AAA says New Jersey has the cheapest average price at $3.04 a gallon.

I just paid $3.09 to fill my T-bird and I thought that was bad. Sorry to hear the coast is getting hosed like that...

When the gas was 35 cents a gallon, did anybody bother to go to another station if they lowered it 2/10 of a cent? Now they expect us to get all excited if it drops a few cents. Big Deal!

If gas will only drop another 2 cents my monthly gas bill will be less than my car payment.

What a thought
