There were 3,700 volunteers coastwide who collected 110,000 pounds of litter off of Oregon beaches Saturday for the SOLV Great Oregon Spring Beach Cleanup.

The weather was chilly, but it didn't deter hundreds of volunteers from spiffing up South Coast beaches. At Bastendorff Beach County Park near Charleston, more than 75 volunteers picked up trash in the rain and hail that graced the Bay Area.
