Sun to dry out coast for a few days

Better late than never. National Weather Service forecasters say sunny skies should rule today through Wednesday on the South Coast.

South Central Oregon Coast

Includes the cities of Reedsport, Lakeside, North Bend, Coos Bay, Coquille, Myrtle Point and Bandon.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the lower to mid 30s. Breezy. North winds 15 to 25 mph becoming northeast around 5 mph after midnight.

Tuesday: Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s. North winds 10 to 20 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 30s. Breezy. North winds 15 to 25 mph shifting to the northeast 10 to 15 mph in the late evening and overnight.

Wednesday: Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday night through Thursday night: Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 30s to lower 40s. Highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s.

.Friday and Friday night: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain showers. Highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s. Lows in the lower to mid 40s.

Saturday and Saturday night: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain. Highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s. Lows in the lower to mid 40s.

Sunday: Cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s.

Curry County Coast

Includes the cities of Port Orford, Gold Beach and Brookings.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the lower to mid 30s. Breezy. Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s. Breezy. North winds 15 to 25 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 30s to lower 40s. Breezy. North winds 15 to 25 mph shifting to the northeast 10 to 15 mph after midnight.

.Wednesday: Sunny. Highs in the lower to mid 60s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.

.Wednesday night through Thursday night: Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower to mid 40s. Highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s.
