Vehicle fire reported

Two engines and five firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle fire Friday, in the parking lot of the Eagles Lodge, 568 S. Second St., in downtown Coos Bay.
According to a Coos Bay Police Department press log, at approximately 4:39 p.m., firefighters responded to the report of a Ford Bronco that had caught on fire, due to a faulty alternator. The blaze had been extinguished prior to their arrival, a Coos Bay Fire Department spokesman said. The name of the truck’s owner was unavailable at press time. Damage is estimated to be $100.
