World Photo by Amy Moss Strong Young actors dance to "Sea Cruise" with sock puppets that look like fish, after a whale swallows Pinocchio, Hickory the cricket and Gepetto in the play “Pinocchio” at Bandon's Ocean Crest Elementary School on March 18.

Fourth-graders in Sue Dodrill's class at Ocean Crest Elementary School in Bandon found it's fun being in the spotlight on the stage. The students performed the play Pinocchio in mid-March.

Ruthanne McSurdy-Wong helped with sets and costumes. The play was directed by Jim Proehl and the Bandon High School humanities class.
