Golfers who also like to run still can sign up for the annual Bandon Dunes Speedgolf Classic, which will begins at 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 6.
The Classic includes 18 speedy holes on one of the world’s finest layouts, as well as an array of prizes provided by sponsors. Golfers compete in four age groups.
The unique golfing/running experience is always entertaining. Scoring is based on running time and number of strokes needed to complete the course. Registration forms are available at
www.speedgolfinternational.com.
Included with the $80 entry fee will be a continental breakfast.
For the first time this year, the Southwestern Oregon Community College golf team will take part in the event, as helpers in a partnership between the resort and the Southwestern Oregon Community College Foundation and with one participant, sophomore John Wilson from Astoria.
