Talent show winners awarded

The Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon held the seventh-annual Club Talent Show on March 19.  The show was held at the Youth Center with more than 20 members participating. Member’s sang and danced their way through eight entertaining acts, and were judged by Kallie Mill and Koral Aakre.

The first-place winners were Samantha Conn, Kenely Tams and Breanna Reasor singing “Nobody’s Perfect.” Courtney Pilant, Brooke Ellis and Brooklynn Walton came in second with their performance of “True Friends.” The third-place winner was Michaela Bindra with her song “Slow Dance.”

Other participants included Madison Evers, Cassidy Keller, Kamie Marshall, CeAndra Nelson, McKenzi Seggerman, Becca Wilbee and Shawn Zousel. Emcees for the event were Carissa Irvin, Amy Kress, Kalie Marshall, Briana Meyer, Mariss Stevens and Katie Williams. The show also had a performance from Club Dance Team members Tristan Jones and Courtney Matthews.

The Boys & Girls Club has more than 3,500 members, and has been providing hope and opportunity for local youth for more than 25 years.
