The following events are scheduled this weekend  on the South Coast

Classes on body awareness are offered from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, at the First Presbyterian Church, 438 Elrod Ave., in Coos Bay. Easy stretching, yoga postures, qi gung and tai chi will be incorporated into a smooth, gentle program focusing on balance, breathing and posture. Coos County Master Gardeners Association annual “Fertilize Your Mind” gardening workshops will be held on Saturday at Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay. The keynote talk will be from 9 to 10:15 a.m. The other speakers will make their presentations from 10:45 a.m. through 4 p.m. The registration fee is $25 and includes the keynote speech, lectures and a snack at morning break. Jevanna Toribio will lead chair yoga from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Unity by the Bay, 2100 Union St., North Bend. Chair yoga contains simple, easy exercises that will relax and rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit, a press release said. There is no charge, but donations are appreciated. The Tioga Chapter of the Oregon Hunters Association will hold its 2008 fundraising banquet on Saturday at the Coquille Community Building, 115 N. Birch St.  Ticket prices include a $175 premium package for two that includes dinner, door prizes and raffle tickets; a $100 deluxe package that includes two dinners and raffle tickets; and a single package offering one dinner and raffle tickets for $45. Friends of Bandon Pacific Christian School will host their annual Treasure Seekers Sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Fellowship Hall/gym at Pacific Community Church, 48967 Highway 101, Bandon. Proceeds will support Bandon Pacific School. Those interested in donating items can call Bev Harrington at 347-2005. North Bend Lanes will host the fourth-annual International Bowling Karaoke Contest. The 12-week competition starts at 7 p.m. Saturdays at the bowling alley, 1225 Virginia Ave. Participating bowling centers host a local contest and a finals night to bring back all qualifiers. Winners of the finals competition advance to regional competition. Those winners advance to the international finals in Orlando, Fla. All finalists in Orlando receive cash prizes. Top winner receives $5,000 and the opportunity to record a CD. The historic Egyptian Theatre in downtown Coos Bay shows classic movies each weekend. On the marquee this weekend is “Uncle Buck” (1989) on Saturday and “Camelot” (1967) on Sunday. Saturday shows start at 7 p.m., and Sunday shows start at 3 p.m. The box office opens one hour before showtimes. General admission is $4, $3.50 for seniors and those 12 and under, and $3 for members. Free movie night: Free movies will be shown at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the North Bend United Methodist Church, 2289 Meade St. The movie will be “Amazing Grace” (2007), about William Wilberforce and his fight to end the British slave trade in the 19th century. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. The public is welcome. A “Soul-Centering Collage Workshop” will be offered from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Unity of Bandon. Participants may bring any items they specifically want to include in their collage, but hundreds of collage pieces also will be available . Participants will need to bring poster board and glue sticks. The workshop is being facilitated by the Rev. Alyzsa VanTil from Crescent City, Calif. There is a suggested donation of up to $20. Free Flight’s garage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, at the Odd Fellows Hall (formerly Farwest Hall) on state Highway 42 South in Bandon. From noon until 1 p.m., everything will sell for $1 per bag or per large item. Free Flight is the only Bird and Marine Mammal Rehabilitation organization on the Southern Oregon Coast.  To donate items for the garage sale, those interested can call 347-4561 or 347-2950.
