Christ Lutheran Church, 1835 N. 15th St., Coos Bay, will begin its observance of Holy Week with a Palm Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. Small palm crosses will be given to each worshipper in remembrance of the parade for Jesus on the Sunday before his crucifixion. The sermon will be: “What a Strange Parade!”
A free ear, nose and throat clinic will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 2289 Meade Ave., North Bend. Free evaluations, treatments and referrals will be given. The clinic is only for people with low income and no health insurance.
The Bandon Ministerial Association is sponsoring “The Rose of Calvary” a Community Holy Week cantata that focuses on the Passion of Christ. It will be performed at 4 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 592 Edison Ave. S.W., Bandon.

A basic computer workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Coos Bay Public Library’s Cedar Room. The workshop is being made available by the Bay Area Seniors’ Computer Club. This event is open to all. The club will provide laptops, and members will be available to assist with questions. Participants also can bring their own laptops. This is a walk-in, first-come, first-served event.

Sozo Tea & Coffee House will host a night of traditional Celtic tunes for St. Patrick’s Day from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Performers, including Mike Dado, Gail Elber, Ric Morrisonn and Stacy Rose, will play mandolin, penny whistle, hammered dulcimer, bodhran and guitar.
