Leaf’s Treehouse, formerly the Newmark Flea Market, has moved from Newmark Avenue to a new location in downtown Coos Bay. The owners, Nancy and Doug Leaf, rent space to merchants, and so far have 26 vendors in the mini mall at 175 Third St. in Coos Bay. Called a “this-n-that store,” Leaf’s Treehouse offers 7,500-square-feet of space, featuring used items like furniture, glassware, paintings, books, photos, pictures, mirrors, handmade crafts and more. Sellers do not have to operate their own stands, and Nancy Leaf said they rent at a flat rate and pay a commission on sales. “(We) live locally, and want to see this historical town noticed in people’s travels,” the Leafs said. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sunday. For more information, those interested can call 217-5545 or 217-1859.
