NALS of Southern Oregon Coast, the association for legal professionals held its Annual Bosses Luncheon, “43 Years of Excellence” on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Benetti’s Italian Restaurant, in Coos Bay.

Judge Michael Gillespie of Coos County Circuit Court was the speaker. Judge Martin Stone of Coos County Circuit Court; Joe Benetti, restaurant owner; and attorney Nick Nylander were the judges.

 Judge Don Owen Costello, chief judge of the Tribal Courts of the Confederated Tribes and Coquille Indians received the “Boss of the Year” award. Judge Costello was nominated by his judicial assistant, Maxene Grabe, PLS, a long-standing NALS member.

The ‘Legal Support Professional of the Year’ award went Mindy Woodworth, PLS, who works for the law office of Stebbins and Coffey in North Bend. Mindy was nominated by her boss, attorney Mike Stebbins.

The ‘NALS of Southern Oregon Coast Member of the Year” award was presented to Leigh Ann Squires, office administration instructor at Southwestern Oregon Community College, who was influential in offering the NALS Legal Training Course to the community.
