Coos County Clerk Terri Turi will speak on the 2008 election at the League of Women Voters of Coos County at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, at Sozo Tea and Coffee, 1955 Union Ave., in North Bend.  

Turi will talk about voting security and the latest changes in Oregon voter registration: 17-year-olds now can register to vote. Their forms will be put in a pending status and will become active when they turn 18. Also, there is a new alternate format ballot which will be available for people with disabilities for the primary election.

 A buffet breakfast will be $10.
