The Coos Chapter Order of the Eastern Star is hosting a bingo night. Doors open at 6 p.m. with games starting at 6:45 p.m. at the Masonic Center, 2002 Union Ave., in North Bend. There will be cash prizes. This is an adults-only event.

An AL-ANON support meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Coos Bay, 123 Ocean Blvd.

The North Bend Senior Center's luncheon program is available to everyone, not just seniors. Buffet-style meals are served from 11:30 a.m. until everyone is served, Monday through Friday. Meals cost $5 and monthly menus are available, at 1470 Airport Lane. Information is available at 756-7622.

Hot meals for seniors: Bay Area Senior Activity Center offers soups, salads, entrées and desserts at 11:30 a.m.  Wednesday through Friday. Cost is $3.50 for BASAC members, $4 for non-members. The watercolors of Sharon Backues are featured this month at the North Bend Public Library, with portraits, beach scenes and other nature-related subjects. The paintings can be viewed in the Conference Room of the library at 1800 Sherman Ave.
