‘Mixed Emotions’ opens at Theatre 101 in Port Orford

Friday, February 29, 2008 |
“Mixed Emotions,” a romantic comedy by Richard Baer, opens at 7:30 tonight at Theatre 101, 1320 Oregon St., in Port Orford.
The play centers around Christine Millman (Dianne Antonio) and Herman Lewis (Rick Antonio), who are widowers in their sixties. Before the deaths of their spouses, the couples had been friends. She is Catholic; he is Jewish. She is in the process of moving to Florida, when Herman shows up on her doorstep and suggests they get married.
Baer has created two characters who show that love, romance and even passion are still alive and well for people in their senior years.
Tickets for opening night cost $25 and include a glass of wine and snacks. Additional performances will be at 7:30 p.m. March 1, 7-8, and at 2 p.m. March 2 and 9.
Tickets are available at the Downtown Fun Zone, at the door, or by calling (541) 332-7529.
