Families to discuss disaster planning

Grandparents Raising Our Children’s Kids will hold an ongoing monthly support group at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at the Faith Lutheran Church, 2741 Sherman Ave., North Bend.
Southwestern Oregon Public Safety Association will present a program about disaster preparedness. Kathy Hornstuen will give practical information on how to prepare for maximum safety when a disaster occurs. She also will distribute a free emergency preparedness guide to each family.
The program is sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging, a service of South Coast Business Employment Corporation, and is open to all grandparents or other relatives raising children. Pizza will be available. Participants will share in the cost.
