The following are meetings and events scheduled Friday in Coos County.

A soup luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Myrtle Point to benefit the Flora M. Laird Memorial Library.  The luncheon will be held at the Oregon State University Extension Service’s Ohlsen Baxter Building, 631 Alder St. The cost is by donation. The luncheons are fundraisers for the Myrtle Point library foundation building fund.

Bandon will celebrate the Coquille River Lighthouse’s 29th birthday. The Coquille River Lighthouse Keepers will host a party from noon to 1 p.m. at Bandon City Hall. Cake and coffee will be served, and the public is invited to attend.  The lighthouse was commissioned on Feb. 29, 1896, meaning it has a birthday only every four years — or every leap year.

Belles & Beaus, a senior citizen singing group, will perform at 2 p.m. at the Ocean Crest Assisted Care Facility, 192 Norman Ave., Coos Bay. The Belles and Beaus sing songs of the 1920s, ’30s, ’40s and ’50s.

A South Coast Singles Club potluck dinner will be held at 6 p.m. in the Social Room at the Park West Apartments, near the corner of 10th Street and Anderson Avenue, in Coos Bay. For information, those interested can call 267-4148, 888-2682 or 267-3443.

A Stable and Free Eternally meeting will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the North Bend Church of God, 1067 Newmark St. The meeting is open to people experiencing any type of addictive behavior. For more information, those interested can call 756-6289 or 888-0401.
