The following are events and meetings scheduled in Coos County on Tuesday.
TOPS OR No. 300 will meet at 9 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 2420 Sherman Ave., in North Bend. Weigh-in will begin at 8 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. TOPS is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals control weight through education, awareness and support. The Acktion Club will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Bay Area Christian Fellowship, 175 S. Third St., Coos Bay. It is a community service organization, comprising developmentally disabled adults, sponsored by the Bay Area Kiwanis Club. Prospective members and volunteers can attend meetings and participate in the club’s community service and fundraising projects. Everyone At the Table will provide low-income families with dinners from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Bandon First Presbyterian Church, 592 Edison Ave., will be the site while the Barn is being remodeled.
