The full moon means high, high and low, low tides today. Forecasters say South Coast residents also can expect some clouds tonight. That might make it hard for those hoping to see the total eclipse of the moon tonight. The eclipse starts at 7 p.m. and moonrise here begins at 6:58 p.m., according to the U.S. Naval Observatory. Here’s the extended South Coast forecast.
Coos County, Reedsport
Includes the cities Coos Bay, North Bend, Bandon, Coquille, Myrtle Point and Reedsport.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 30s to lower 40s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.
Thursday: Rain likely in the morning, then rain in the afternoon. Highs in the lower to mid 50s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
Thursday night: Rain showers. Lows in the lower to mid 40s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of showers 80 percent.
Friday: Rain showers likely. Highs around 50. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of showers 60 percent.
Friday night: Mostly cloudy. Chance of rain showers in the evening, then chance of rain and snow showers after midnight. Lows in the mid 30s to lower 40s.
Saturday through Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs in the mid 40s to lower 50s. Lows in the mid 30s to mid 40s.
Sunday night through Monday night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain showers. Lows in the lower to mid 40s. Highs around 50.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain showers. Highs in the lower to mid 50s.
Curry County
Includes the cities of Brookings, Harbor, Gold Beach and Port Orford.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 30s to lower 40s. South winds 10 to 20 mph.
Thursday: Rain. Highs in the lower to mid 50s. Breezy. South winds 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 25 mph in the late morning and early afternoon, then decreasing to 10 to 15 mph late in the afternoon. Chance of rain 90 percent.
Thursday night: Rain showers. Lows in the lower to mid 40s. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of showers 90 percent.
Friday: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain showers. Highs around 50. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
Friday night: Mostly cloudy. Chance of rain showers in the evening, then chance of rain and snow showers after midnight. Lows in the mid 30s to lower 40s.
