The following meetings and groups are scheduled to gather Tuesday.
A basic computer workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Coos Bay Public Library’s Cedar Room. The Bay Area Seniors’ Computer Club will provide laptops and members will be available to assist anyone with questions. This is a walk-in, first-come, first-serve event.
The Siuslaw Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will hold its chapter meeting at 7 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of the Siuslaw, 3996 Highway 101 in Florence, just south of Bi-Mart. Guest speaker will be plant hybridizer Noland Blansit. Coffee and cookies will be served at 6:30 p.m.
TOPS OR No. 300 will meet at 9 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 2420 Sherman Ave., in North Bend. Weigh-in will begin at 8 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9:30 a.m.
Blood pressure tests will be offered from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the North Bend Senior Center, 1470 Airport Lane.
The Bandon Play Readers Group will hold its monthly playreading session from noon to 4 p.m. at the home of one of its members. This month’s play will be “A Delicate Balance” by Edward Albee. For directions, those interested can call Vivian Connolly at 347-5215.
Bridge players will gather at 12:30 p.m. at the North Bend Senior Center, 1470 Airport Lane.
The Lower Umpqua Senior Center, 460 Winchester Ave., in Reedsport, hosts a dance with live music from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Dances will include the fox trot, cha cha, line dance and more.
The South Coast Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will hold a board meeting at 5:30 p.m. at Gussie’s, 1088 Newmark Ave., in Coos Bay. For more information, those interested can call Judith at 267-6508.
Everyone At the Table will provide low-income families with dinners from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bandon First Presbyterian Church, 592 Edison Ave. Donations are appreciated.
TOPS No. 114, North Bend, will meet at 6 p.m. at the Church of Christ, just off Broadway on Alder Ridge Road.
Sea Breeze Chorus will hold rehearsal at 6:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 123 Ocean Blvd., in Coos Bay. Women of all ages who enjoy singing are invited to attend the rehearsals.
A hepatitis C support group will meet at 6:30 p.m. at South Coast Hospice, 1620 Thompson Road, Coos Bay.
The Hutchinson-Rempelos Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3182 will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the grange hall on East Bay Drive in Glasgow. The post’s ladies auxiliary will meet at the same time.
South Coast Real Estate Investors will meet at 7 p.m. at Empire Hall, room Lakeview G, at Southwestern Oregon Community College, 1988 Newmark Ave.
Far West Lapidary & Gem Society, a club helping the study of lapidary, mineralogy, geology and the locating and preserving of mineral specimens, will meet at 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 2711 Sherman Ave., in North Bend.
Point Man Ministries, an outreach group for local veterans, active-duty personnel and families, will meet at 7 p.m. at Sobers, 181 Anderson Ave., in Coos Bay.
The Coquille Valley Elks will meet at 7 p.m. at the lodge, 54942 Maple Heights Road, in Coquille. Dinner is served from 5 to 7 p.m.
