Wonderful tribute to a fallen soldier On Feb. 5, an American soldier who died in Iraq was flown into Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend at 12:18 p.m. He was to be driven on the last leg of the journey to his hometown of Riddle. Waiting at the airport for the body of Joshua A. R. Young was not only his family, but many other Americans. Members of the Patriot Guard Riders and other veterans made a fine flag line while more than a 12 police vehicles and fire trucks waited to escort this grieving family. As the procession began, the U.S. Coast Guard lined the street and their helicopter flew slowly overhead. |
