The following are meetings and events scheduled Friday in Charleston, Coos Bay and North Bend.
The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Forestry and Fisheries Committee and the Douglas Timber Operators will hold a breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. at the Red Lion Inn in Coos Bay. South Coast Hospice and Palliative Care Services will hold its 22nd-Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon at 1 p.m. in Coos Bay. The event will be held at the Community Bereavement and Education Center on the South Coast Hospice campus, 1620 Thompson Road. In addition to lunch, there will be entertainment and speakers to thank volunteers for all they do for South Coast Hospice and Palliative Care all year round.
The North Bend Senior Center will hold a board meeting at 1 p.m. at the Senior Center, 1470 Airport Lane.
The Coos Stamp Club will meet at 2 p.m. in the Cedar Room at the Coos Bay Public Library, 525 Anderson Ave. There will be a short program. The club stamp circuit and other stamps will be available for members. For more information, those interested can call John Day at 267-3338.
The Charleston Merchants Association will a monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the Charleston Rural Fire Protection District station at 92342 Cape Arago Highway. For more information, those interested can call 888-0146.
A Stable and Free Eternally meeting will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the North Bend Church of God, 1067 Newmark St. The meeting is open to anyone experiencing any type of addictive behavior. For more information, those interested can call 756-6289 or 888-0401.
Sunset Classic Chevy Club will meet at 7 p.m. at Fisherman’s Grotto, 91151 Cape Arago Highway, in Charleston. For more information, those interested can call Jan at 756-3295 (evenings) or 266-9115 (days), or Don at 267-0392.
